We have recently taken in a dog that is staying in the house. He is a Schnauzer named Satch. For his food and water, we have a plastic container that just doesn’t have any style at all. I decided he need something a little more”stylish”.

I had looked at many DIY dog feeding stations that I thought were cute but most of them only held dog food and I didn’t need that. After not seeing a feeding station I was in love with, I decided to use some left over plywood and pallet boards to make one. I put together a tutorial on how to build it if you would like one.
Here are the supplies you will need to make this dog feeding station:
- Small Piece of Plywood
- Pallet Boards
- 1×2 Board
- Nail Gun
- 2- Dog Bowls
First, lay your dog bowls on the plywood and check your sizes. My plywood was a little big for the bowls I had so I made my piece smaller.
After you have it the size you want, lay your bowls upside down on the wood and trace around them. This will be for the holes to hold your bowls. Use a jig saw to cut the holes. You will want to cut the holes a little smaller than you traced them so the bowls will not fall through the holes. You do not have to make perfect circles…they will be covered up with the bowls. As you can see, mine are definitely not perfect!
After the circles are cut out, measure the length of your plywood. Cut four pallet boards to that length. Attach one to to each of the long sides of the plywood using a nail gun.
When you have the two boards attached, measure the width. You will need to cut four this long. Using your nail gun again, attach two of them. Now you have a box.
To add your second row of pallet boards, cut 4 (1×2) pieces approximately 5” long. Turn your box over and attach a 1×2 to each corner with the boards standing straight up. Attach to the pallet board using your nail gun.
Once you have all four attached, take your other pallet boards and attach them to the 1×2′s. Attach your long sides first, then the short sides. You can leave a little space between the boards to give more of a wood crate look.
After you have everything together, sand and paint the feeding station whatever color you would like. I decided to paint mine black. I also added two holes on each side so I could add rope handles. I did that using the drill. I thought it gave it more of a wood crate look.
Once everything is finished, add your bowls. Now you have a stylish dog feeding station. I think I’m going to add his name to the front of it also.
