DIY Pallet Letter

I have found another pallet project on Pinterest!  Have you seen the Pallet Letter from Thistlewood Farm? She has a great tutorial on how to make one.  I decided to use her letter as an inspiration.  I was making a letter L, so I did a “lazy” version of  it.

I used some left over pallet boards for this letter.  The first thing I did was cut a piece about 12″ long.  I also cut 3 pieces about 5″ long.  I then laid my pieces out to make sure I liked the shape of the L.

Next, I measured around the L to make a frame for it.  I measured each side to get my measurements.  After cutting all the pieces, I used a nail gun to put together the frame.

After the frame was put together, I placed the other boards inside the frame.  I also used the nail gun to nail them in place.

After everything was together, I painted it red.  When that dried, I sanded it and put a glaze over it.

I am going to add this to my kitchen command center.  I hope to have it finished soon.
